Newfane, Vermont
It is no surprise that this is our most popular room: its private balcony accessible through French doors overlooks the secluded vegetable garden and the trout pond; its two red Adirondack chairs are a great place to chat while viewing beautiful Vermont fall foliage colors, watching snow fall atop the trees or admiring the panoramic wooded view of our 138-acre property.
The large bedroom is appointed with a king-size four-poster bed, a dark green wardrobe with extra blankets, pillows and hangers, as well as a mini fridge and a three-drawer dresser under the television. The brass lamps on the nightstands diffuse a pleasant filtered light.
In the living area, two handcrafted wooden stools act as a coffee table between the white wingback chair and the dark gray multi-function folding ottoman which can easily be transformed into an additional bed suitable for a small child.
After a bike ride in the neighborhood, a long hike on trails or a walk through our gardens, there is nothing more satisfying than watching glowing flames in the double-sided fireplace set between the sleeping area and the bathroom.
Guests can recharge in the spacious jetted tub or in the walk-in shower. A double vanity completes the cozy bathroom area.
