Authentic experience of Vermont since 1969
The Four Columns Inn was established in 1969 by French chef & owner René Chardain and his wife Pierrette. It was also the first farm-to-table restaurant: ever since its beginning, the Inn has been an important gastronomic destination in Vermont. The couple grew their own vegetables while pheasants, ducks and chickens wandered through the property.
Beginning in early spring 2022, Celebrity Chef & Cookbook Author Andrea Jourdan and her family took over the historic establishment, bringing it back to its original state with a vegetable garden and trout in the pond.
